P91DC reassembly help

I took the slide stop out of my P91DC to try another one and now I can't get the trigger to assemble right. I've never taken it apart this far and the trigger bar plunger under the slide stop spring is giving me trouble, I can't get anything to assemble right with that. Are there some detailed instructions available? I couldn't find anything useful on Youtube. Thank you.

You need to push the plunger in and then set the trigger bar down where it needs to be.

I just bumped the P89 manual to the top of the post list too. It should show what is required. The 89 and 91 are the same gun. You can even swap the slide assemblies to make a duel cal gun.

You need to push the plunger in and then set the trigger bar down where it needs to be.

I've been doing that but the trigger bar keeps popping up. I did get it to stay once and the slide got stuck while putting it on but I was able to get it off. I'll keep trying when I have a little time.

the slide stop holds the trigger in the frame and the trigger holds the trigger bar so I have no idea how it could pop up after installed. Maybe post a picture.

I did the same thing when I swapped out the original slide stops for extended stops, and it took me about a day and a half of head scratching and soul searching to figure it out. I was a little pissed that I couldn't figure it out. The trigger fits fine until you try to fit the slide stop, then all hell breaks loose. But once you see what's going on...

You'll need a pin the same dia. as the slide stop, or a different slide stop to get it back together.

Basically, ignore the left side for a minute, and assemble the trigger group in the gun. It should almost fall in without any issues. You may have to move the pin plunger back a little but the trigger will go into the correct location.

Insert the spare slide stop or pin from the right side until it runs into the retaining spring on the left. That's as far as it needs to go. It's only locating the trigger now.

Pry up the end of the wire spring on the left side with a small flat blade screwdriver, and push the slide stop into and past the spring and detent groove from the left. This will push out the pin on the opposite side and retain the trigger.

All done except reassembling the slide to the frame.

Thank you for the instructions but the 9mm P85 slide stop does not work in my 40 caliber P91DC, it needs to be a tiny bit longer. It worked in my friends 9mm P89 but he doesn't want it so I'm just going to put the slide stop up for sale on the forum tomorrow. Thank you both again for your help.
