P89 Slide to P95 Frame

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit the P89 slide on a P95 Frame? Any modifications? Will it shoot?

I just got a slide and parts kit from berrettapistols.

The slide goes on and over the sear but stops short of the hammer. It's hitting on something. No clue what. Has anyone else tried this?

I don't think that will work as the P-89 uses a browning swinging link system & the P95 uses a camblock.

but would I be able to use the barrell and recoil spring from the P89 with its slide on the P95?

I think either thr front of the slide or the P95 frame would have to modified to make it fit properly. Not sure if it's possible to mate these.

just wondering.....why? Very little if anything other than the magazine is interchangeable between the two.

I was just curious. I have the parts and will likely pass them off to a friend of mine who has a P89. I think it would actually work but would require a few mods that I don't want to try.
