A lot of folks just thought Ozzy was a idiot, a drug addict, a drunk. Ozzy and Black Sabbath are my favorite singer/band of all time. If you are not into that type of music, I get it, but he meant a lot to me, especially when I was growing up. He just put on a concert two or three weeks ago, seated in a chair because he couldn't stand up due to Parkinsons. He wanted to give the fans a final farewell. That took incredible guts. He wanted to stand up so bad, but they had him tied in the chair so he couldn't, because he would have fell. RIP Ozzy.

I find it very ironic, that your bashing one person for being an addict, but your avatar was a raging alcoholic throughout his entire life. Before finally committing suicide 15 years younger than Ozzy lived to be, mostly due to the long-term effect that it had on him.
Now, back to the ignore button for you.
His personal life & personal abuse like so many in the buis. But few could match him when behind the mike. For the genre, top notch music, vocals & especially the lyrics. Hitting the rock world hard for over 50 years. A high percentage of quality works.

I don't care much for his music but obviously he had talent. Kinda sad to think that assuming I continue getting older, gonna see a lot of the musicians I have enjoyed over the years leaving this earth behind.

There was a time when I would have reacted to the death of someone who was 76 with the thought of "well, he did get to live a long life". But now 76 sounds awfully young to me. As to Ozzy Osborne, I never understood in the least the appeal of the kind of music he was associated with, and in fact I doubt that I ever listened to an entire "song" in that genre. But he is now gone, so I wish him to rest in peace.

Been a country fan my entire life, but I honestly like some of Ozzy’s work. Some of it seems more country than a lot of what is called country today.

I grew up on country music, which I still love some of it. Started listening to rock at 16, found an additional love. I am not tied to one genre, my interests vary widely. I loved Ozzie's music, he performed with a passion. As far as "old rockers " go, Mick Jagger said in an interview early on he would retire at 40, couldn't see rockin' past that age. Now in his 80's and still rockin'

All things considered, taking into account his lifestyle that was a pretty long life.

I loved his music, his TV show, his family and his dedication to the art and industry. He had his flaws as we all do. I am truly amazed that he survived this long. Despite all the tragedy and destructive lifestyle he persevered. I saw him 5 times, with Black Sabbath and solo and was never disappointed.

There are a lot of things that you can be in life and you decide to be a complete Zero. We get it, you didn't like him or his music. He had a huge following of friends and fans and there will never be another like him. We don't care for all the negativity so why don't you just sit this one out.
