My private messages are gone?

Do PM's have an expiry date? I wanted to respond to a seller on this forum but all my private messages are completely gone.

Check again after you sign out and sign back in. Some weird things happening on the site.
I had ads show up, shouldn't. Signed out signed in back to normal.

Or hit “refresh” ….. that’s worked for me this past few days
