Does anybody have any manufacture and/or ship dates for any one or two-digit #3 rifles? Working on my article for the May News Exchange (hope I can fit it in that issue) and don't have any dates for the #3. I have a date for 130-50009 which was John Amber's but pretty sure that one was shipped late as it is chambered for .30-40.

The Ruger # 1 Group has numbers 22, 30, 31, and 80 listed in their serial number data but no dates, you should be able to get the dates from Ruger records.
All are in 45-70 Govt.

I'm curious about what you have for Serial No. 31. I currently own that rifle.

I just checked the Ruger # 1 data listings and they don't have much of anything on your number 31 other than the serial number 130-50031 and that it's in 45-70.

It's mostly a # 1 group and for that model they have a lot of info and I think about 600 + serial numbers.

They only have 97 serial numbers for the # 3 with some good info on some of the numbers but not on all of the numbers.
