Hello! My first post here, hope you folks can help me out...

I've been searching for a #3 rifle in .44 for quite some time, recently ran across one but was a tad pricey, seller claimed less than 200 were made. Claimed to be the rarest of all #3's - Is this true?

Also wondering about number of 25th anniversary .44 Autos made. If I can't pull off the #3, I might have to settle for the 25th anni auto.

I am a collector but like to shoot them too... The #3 was supposidley NIB thus the high price, I imagine if there were less than 200 made they will be expensive no matter what the condition though.

Thanks in advance for any help/info/advice!

Yep the number 3 in 44 is very rare. If your looking for a shooter there is one in the classifieds here. http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=67116. The auto is nice to. If your thinking of going for the auto try to find a sporter model. The stock is much more comfortable of a rifle you plan to shoot. Here is a link to one that sold recently.

A good deal but a real nice sporter could cost you near as much as the #3 in the link.
