Do some of the older version have a 2 tone frame...silver trigger guard and backstrap?

No, but the cast aluminum cylinder framed Lightweight Single-Six had some interesting colors.

"Standard Lightweight, w/aluminum cylinder."

"All Blue Lightweight", however not all really blue. More like black.

Thanks. I've never seen a lightweight version. There are a couple on Gunbroker with backstrap and triggerguard aluminum colored. Thanks for the info. Looking for an old model.

welcome to the Forum, you will often see old models that the alloy grip frame may have been "polished out" the finish removed..this often is done once the finish wears, chips, scratches, ,whathever...gives the gun that 'two tone' look...you can either coat the stripped frame or replace it with another in better shape....when you see the gun has been polished out ( stripped) this is a "buyers" point of sale, as you can deduct from the guns true value, the "seller" may say this is custom work, or it came that way ,but NO, it did not come that way, maybe from another owner or seller, but not from the factory...........
