VERY pretty!

Last night I went with my folks to a funeral viewing in a neighboring state. On the way back, we stopped for dinner and in the parking lot were a '57 Chev Bel Air 2-HT, a 1970 Cuda 440 (dual hood scoops, not the shaker), and a '55 Chev Nomad. All three had been "restored" in late-'60s/early '70s style, just the way I remember the way such cars commonly looked when I was in high school.

You see a '57 Chev every now and then but I really had to think when was the last time I saw a '55 Nomad or a '70 440 Cuda out in public on "real streets," not at a car show. I think the timeframe could be best measured in decades, not years.

It's hell getting old, but the alternative is even worse. :(

I thought I was gonna see a 426. I recall 391, 331 and there were a few others.
I think this one might be a 354. If not, then maybe a 392.

Old Hemis are cool.

392 and 354 sounds right, used to see some old style hemi's at the drag strip about 25yrs ago. Few would even know what they are anymore.

Unless I'm sadly mistaken the engine is a 354. The backround is Beckley First Baptist Church. The vehicle was very nice so Barbara & I took a very long look. I like something different.

OH YESSS!!!! That a beauty! Real American Iron :D
Open show at a Baptist Church? Cool. One Baptist Church in our area has an annual open car show and a Methodist Church in Mobile Ala has a yearly open show. This classic would fit right in. Thanks for the post :D

Gee, I figured all the boys in the NHRA fuel classes had killed all the iron blocks by now...

Cool beans, that old girl is a beauty! Notice the 6V electrics? 8)

Gorgeous Imperial.

That trunk is about the size of my first off-campus room when I was in college. 8)
