I am trying to find out what parts were changed when ruger converted the blackhawks to transfer bar style for the safety upgrade. does anyone know where i could see an image of these parts ? does someone have a picture of them ? I am fairly certain that i have a set of these parts and i want to compare what i have with a picture or image of known parts. I am trying to get them all together for sale. any info would be helpful thank you

You can probably find a picture in the classified section since they pop up fairly often. The parts include the hammer, trigger, cylinder pin, bolt, pawl, bolt spring and possibly one or two other small parts I may have forgotten to mention. I am sorry I do not have a picture for you to see.

Some of the hammers are different, as well as some of the triggers on the OM's. Older skinny triggers are desired by those who have a need to re-convert guns. And,, the hammers are a little different as well. There was a pic in a VERY old post showing several hammers aligned to see the differences. I have a printed copy somewhere, but maybe Flatgate or WMG can find theirs quicker.

there are at least four OM hammers maybe more, #1 the single six, #2 the 357blackhawk, #3 the large frame blackhawk 41/45 and#4 the super blackhawk a bisley style hammer

what serial number range is your flatop, and that will determine the "type" , which means which parts are "normally" on the guns of that serial number range, and yes can be changed ,swapped out at any time....
