These are fairly rare birds. One of the rarest of any Blackhawk. Only made them for two three years. 71-73 I believe. Mine is a convertible. Someone lost the LC cylinder though. Great shooter.

Yes,,, some of these OM 45's did come with a spare cylinder.
Yes,,, these guns are desirable as the low production numbers combined with high demand makes them a bit more expensive. Especially the convertibles.
There were approximately 23,031 of the OM 45's made between 1971 & 1973. A VERY few of them were shipped with a brass grip frame & as such, command a serious premium.

I'd say a worn shooter grade will command around $500 & a lightly worn shooter grade will run around $650. Beaters will be less & nice examples will be more.

Add $100-$200 if a convertible, take off $100 for a 6 1/2".

Make that "take off for a 7-1/2" barrel".

Factory lengths were 4-5/8" and 7-1/2". If a factory original, lettered, 6-1/2" barrel were to surface, I suspect the value would be difficult to predict.

I'd like to find some $500 beaters. Seems like price creep on the worn stuff is really moving upwards.

.....good info above, I feel the same, the gun alone is in the $550 to $650 range, add the spare cylinder and it goes up another $100-200, add the proper box and another $150-200.........new in the box with the shipper pushes $1250 to ,maybe as much as $1500.......sold ours almost 3 years ago, and got $1000 for it,in the box.
yes you can get a cylinder for your gun just about anytime, they are out there..............

and as for "barrel length", never know when folks just like to take an inch off here and there and make it "personal"................
