It is a shame that MJ is linked to groups like "high times" and " the stoned society". It does a great disservice to those in the medical community trying to further its use for disease processes by research. It is hard enough to get grants without having to overcome that stigma!
Those "cops" (I use that term loosely) require retraining! Any Georgia boy who doesn't know an okra plant isn't worth his salt! The MJ plants I have seen are taller than me and wider than my extended arms! What Don shows is a plant that has had several "harvestings" I would bet.

NO, it has not had any harvest, it was a clone that has been raised in that bucket full of special grow medium, it was raised to make one large flower and to produce maximum oil production by the nutrient mix it receives. Once it is ripe it will not be trimmed for smoking, it will be rendered down in grain alcohol to make a tincture then the alcohol evaporated off till the desired potency per drop is achieved. It is serious medicine and with his wife's MS & associated problems, most of them being side effects from her other medications she has to take, it can really make a huge difference in how she is able to function daily. Even though this particular plant contains THC strength that is near the top obtainable, she does not have any "stoner" reaction to it. This particular strain manufactures very high concentrations of cannabinoids other than THC as well. It does slow & calm her twitchy muscle spasms, it makes her relax and speak pleasantly and very mellow to you, but she is really in control of herself and has a very nice outlook about life and her gardens and her home décor, gourmet cooking, etc.
Also, this kind of genetics, especially when fresh, you can't smoke it very well, it is so oily it does not burn well, it makes you cough out a lung if you were to get too much of it at one time. They said it was so oily that they cannot even collect trichomes to make kief hashish unless they use dry ice to crystalize the oils.
Ok so I might as well continue the marijuana educational segment here. This next plant is a pure sativa genetics, Thai variety. This is what the old "Thai Stick" many of you Vietnam Vets knew of back in the day. This is for my neighbor's personal smoke stash, he will dry & cure, manicure it out into the smallest buds, store them in canning jars. This is some very seriously stony smoke. If you burn a bowl of this between two people, you will both be a giggling mess, stuffing yourself with any kind of snack foods you can get ahold of and totally goofed silly for a couple of hours. It will get you higher than you have ever been on anything. Notice it has very long skinny leaves and smaller flower bud formation. It is a lighter shade of green as well and does not look oily like the Kush. It gets covered with trichrome crystals and makes a considerable amount of kief hash dust when totally dried and handled roughly.
When I first moved here, about the fifth day here, I was really having a bad day with altitude sickness and a stomach bug. He gave me a bud of this, I took two tokes off it when I was really nauseated one morning. BANG, rest of the day, nothing bothered me, I flat out could not have cared less about anything other than having a good time walking a ravine with my metal detector and looking for gemstones & native artifacts. I went on a four hour hike, came back really feeling great. I found all kinds of beautiful stones and some pottery shards, dug up a good amount of fine gravel to run through the gold pan, I found a decent coffee can full of pinion nuts (of which the munchies from that weed made me consume) my focus was good and I had no more nausea the rest of the day. I spent probably 30 minutes sitting within 20yds of 7 mule deer, they never knew I was there and I was able to just sit and watch them. Organic gardening at it's finest.
