I got 1.7" overnight which is more than the previous 60 days combined. Only 'runoff' was from hard surfaces. I'm not advocating for a 'fall flood' but we could sure use some 'pond filler' rain. Next few days may help.
Most of the crops is this area are in the bin and our cereal rye cover crop is coming up but didn't get fall fertilizer applied. That may have to wait until after freeze up or even early spring 2025.
Still have a couple weeks before deer season so maybe can fit in some projects on the house that have been postponed. Need to finish Grouch Attack's 'handicap ramp' and maybe can find time to begin a new front deck--way simpler project than the ramp BTW.

1.1” here overnight. Lots of wind, thunder, etc. Even woke me up during the night which is unusual for me.

We had about 20 inches of rain between 9/24 and 9/27. (Yes, the disaster flood.) But since then we’ve only had about .2 of an inch.
33 days and counting of basically no rain has allowed a lot of serious work to be done on all the damage we’ve had.

Down here we're finally getting into our dry season... good riddance to rain for now, then we pray for it ion the spring.

Only 37" here in 12 months.

4.2" since JUNE 2. 1.2" from 6-2-24 to 9-4-24. That's bad.

We might get 1.5" over the next three days. That would be huge.

We are five inches of rain behind for the year.
