No - and probably wouldn't choose to.

I think anything over .458 Lott or .505 Gibbs is wasted energy in regard to hunting dangerous game, but such extreme rounds do get created.

My experience is just:

.375 H&H in my Ruger No.1
.416 Rigby in my CZ 550
.50 BMG in my Barrett 82A1

The 82A1 is not unpleasant, even at 12,000 ft-lbs

The 700 Nitro so scarce that few in the nation have fired one.

Even the 600 is rare enough that few have.

Lets step to 500, still not many takers.

But, I applaud your optimism, & by the remote chance anyone here has fired the 600 up, I'd welcome the story.

460 Weatherby is my biggest & ,,,, enough.

I saw a clip where a guy shot the 700. The owner said the shells were $125 each. I forget the gun makers name it was two last names. I believe they are in england. They would build you one for if i remember correctl $47000 something like 4 yrs to get it.

Why? I don't see the need for it as it is my understanding that substantially less can take the big 5 ( I guess) with good shot placement. Of course there is always the can it be done factor whichh I appreciate greatly

I'm somewhat careful when it comes to recoil as I've had 3 retinal detachments, then had to have a band put around both eyes to reshape them. So I'm paranoid when it comes to recoil. I've used a light 338 WM for years, I have no problem sitting down and shooting 2 boxes of 375 H&H, 300 grain bullets off the bench. Regularly carry a Marlin 45-70 with a 430 grain hard cast, which is substantial, but worse considering how light the rifle is.

Typically the "heavy " rifles are, well, heavy. Makes a difference.

I have no intention of going after anything that needs more rifle than I already have and use.

458WM, 470 Capstick, 50 Alaskan, 50-110, 50 BMG and 10 gauge shotguns are all in my safe and shot several times a year, except the 50 Alaskan which has become my favorite hunting rifle. But, I will pass on the 700 Nitro unless it is in a heavy double rifle.

I'm on the light side, generally.
.375 H&H and .416 Taylor, several different bolt and semi-autos chambered in .50 BMG.
All were impressive, to me, on me.
When I was younger I would have tried literally anything. Not so much in my older more decrepit state.

The biggest caliber rifle I ever shot were a couple different .50 BMGs. With the muzzle break, they were not too bad. In a normal rifle, the biggest I ever shot was a .300 RUM, which was pretty intense. The most painful thing I ever shot was a super shorty Mossberg 12 gauge. My "friend" didn't tell me he loaded a 3 inch shell loaded with buckshot in it. My hand hurt for a week.

I was an Early Adopter of the 3 1/2" 12ga. Ed Hubel developed the concept of the 12ga from Hell. I was pushing 1,000gr 700NE bullets to about 1,800 fps. A little short of full blown 700NE but close enough. 700NE numbers have been pushed with Custom actions and even Savage Bolt Actions and H&R singles. Lightfield used to make 3 1/2" Commander Slugs that were pushing 5,000ft lbs of energy. My current 3" slug loads that I run in my HD guns are pushing 4,000ft lbs. I loaded some 3 1/2" Dangerous Game loads to about 5,000ft lbs. I'm getting soft in my old age and prefer Semi Autos now. Recoil Junkies Unite!!!
