Ok help me out on this 44

a friend of a friend is offering me a 1974 44 magnum dragon (I think its drgoon) bout 90% has a 6 in.bbl hes askin 350 to 400

I have no knowledge on this gun is it woth it or should i just save my money to get another ruger? if i bought it it would be a shooter

Super Blackhawk, not dragoon.

7-1/2" barrel, not 6".

I'd do some more research prior to purchase.

Interarms Virginian Dragoons did come in the 6" length IIRC...The singleactions.com website has more info and some great articles. Mostly well made guns with a tight lock up.

I passed I walked into my local honey hole and came out with a converted 3 screw 357 magnum 6.5 bbl for 318.00$ got some ugly plastic stag grips on it but those can be fixed :wink: the Dragoon was neat but i couldnt pass on a ruger

Good decision, you don't have a 44 but it's Ruger!. For $20 over the $400, you can get a 44 spl new Ruger.
