$400K worth of Jack Daniel’s flooded a Tennessee highway. Imagine the sponge sales that could have been made.

Curses Red Baron! Foiled again? I live 30 miles from this incident, and knew nothing of it! Sigh, I even have my own JD shot glass, obtained at a tasting and tour in Lynchburg.

I thought it would funny to have seen the cleanup.
Some years back my youngest son and I were heading to Cape Cod. In Providence, RI, at the intersection where I-95 heads North and I-195 heads east a tractor trailer full of salad oil turned over. Oil EVERYWHERE. At least the booze would evaporate; not so salad oil.

I heard about that. OUCH!!!!!!!

About 20 or so years ago,, a local beer delivery truck didn't quite make it all the way around a curve here locally. It was loaded with Grolsch bottled beer. Well, they wanted the truck unloaded to they could get a wrecker to be able to pull it up the bank. They told the locals,, "If you haul it up,, you can keep it."
Several guys went head over heels to get down there & carry the beer out.
The funniest one,, was a local man,, who was "simple minded" to where he didn't drive etc. But he was a hard physical labor type worker. He made a bunch of trips up & down the bank. He'd put the cases in a car on one side,, and a few others,, would take cases out the opposite side of the car. He didn't get near the amount he carried out. And,, it was folks he knew & "trusted."

I wasn't there,, but I was told about all of it.
