There was a time in my life I somehow had a hard time avoiding cholla... all I can suggest is get out the Jack Daniel's, friend, cuz this is gonna take a while! Might leave a little mark, too...

I sat on one of those back in the late 70's when I was a child at a ranch that my aunt and uncle ran near Eastland, TX for boys that had family issues. Wasn't as bad as when I sat on an XActo later in life.
