I had a call about a nuisance squirrel. Here he is.

Local color phase, not bleached. Two local counties have a bunch of them. Even Brevard has a white squirrel festival annually.

How much is a non-resident small game license down there?

I have never seen a white squirel up here in PA but some counties of PA have a lot of black phase grey squirels. I have yet to get one of them either but I have seen them, normally where I can't hunt them. There is one I see quite often in Valley Forge Park while we are on bike rides, I think he enjoys taunting me but I have been trying to "catch him" with the camera without luck so far.

Very neat! Saw lots of black ones in Kingston Ontario, and Toronto- thinking about a grey squirrel hat trick, one white, one grey, one black- any other colors?

Yeah, I want to know what trouble this little guy was causing! Looks too tiny to be that much of a nuisance!

Nice picture.

This girl is normal gray squirrel size. She was very liberal in that she expected free housing provided by a taxpayer. The taxpayer wanted her evicted, permanently. Tek4260 figured it out,, except she's mounted on locust wood.
I just got her back from my taxidermist.
And smokingun, yep, Flatrock, Etowah, Brevard etc,, all around those areas, it's kinda common to see them.

Nice little white tree rat!

In a part of St Paul MN, Highland park, the local grey squirrels have developed into a substantial colony of white squirrels. I asked my Dad about it when he was alive and he said they were there when he was a boy in the 1920's - he had remembered seeing them as a child. He was born in 1915.

Quite extraordinary to see them running around on the big old trees.
