NS Woes

I bought a Novak Tritium NS for my .357 LCR the other day and mounted it easily enough. One roll pin to drift out & back in. That's the good news. The bad news is that whereas before it shot dead nuts on it now shoots at least 6" low at 10 yds.!!! :cry: I'm going to remount the factory sight as this is just unacceptable. It's too big and I feel like I'm trying to sight with a blob.

To "see at night" suggest learning a flashlight technique; night sights only allow you to see your sights at night.

The .357 magnum LCR can be purchased with a XS® Standard Dot Tritium front sight. Is that the same thing? Looks like it might be too high. Thanks for the info. 8) 8)

I parctice in a dark range when ever I can and I really found I am far better with night sights then I am with a flashlight alone. My personal preference is two contrasting colors and my Glocks I like a green front sight and orange rear sights. If the three dots were all the same color (say green) I found that sometimes in a dark situation it was not easy to pick out which of the three dots was the front.

I think that odds are good that if I ever need to use my pistol to defend myself it will be in the dark. Besides, if I want to shoot tiny groups I use my 1911, if I want to defend my life I grab a Glock!
