You were walking out of your local hometown meat market with the dreams of cast iron cooking filets for dinner.

Let's set the stage, this small southern town meat market has been in business for years. The clientele is from the well to do, to the folks that use their Govt food cards. Regardless the meat and pork products are top drawer.

Now just suppose you were walking out of the Market and you were suddenly confronted with a OH CHIT moment right in front of you. Right there a very young man was screaming to a 40ish year old women to give it up, give it the F up B !!!! Holding a good size knife. Now suppose this lady started reaching into her pocket book/purse/bag. And all the while "you" thinking, should "you" make a move to stop this. Suddenly the 40ish year old women produces a flip/blackjack and makes a substantial blow to the side of this young man's head. Let's say as he was going down and she then got a solid lick to the back of this young man's head as he was eating pavement. Then to top it off let's say this 40ish year old women bent over and collected said knife and placed one more maximum blow to said young man's head.

Now let's say this 40ish year old women proceeded to her vehicle gets gets in and drives away at a very normal pace, as if nothing at all happened.

Now let's just say someone standing behind "you" speaks up and says do you see that !!!! And let's say your remark back was "you" didn't see nothing at all and proceeded to your truck to drive away.

What kind of person would just walk away on both sides of this story ?

I recently saw a video where a sh*tbird tried to rob a younger women and the women turned out to be special forces trained---I don't remember if the bad guy had a weapon or not, but she cleaned his clock by pinning him up against a car and repeatedly smashing his face with her bare hands! Good, fun video...

All too many people think they aren’t capable of fighting back. Most folks are raised to think they must rely on someone else to take care of them. I blame TV. You see it from The Rifleman to SWAT. The hero has to swoop in and save the day.

Instead of volleyball we should be teaching young women martial arts, in school. Instead of basketball we should offer high quality marksmanship training. And not only for the elites in high school sports but everyone.

Imagine producing a generation of young people who believe they are the masters of their fate, not the government.

Played out like the OP posted it, I'm smiling as I drive home. If the bad guy is dead, ( which we don't know ) oh well, he won't be a future problem.
He had a knife and he may have got up and chased her if not for the extra strike or two.
We wouldn't be having this discussion if she pulled a gun and dumped half a magazine into him before he hit the ground.
She should not have left the scene but that's not my worry, like I said...driving home smiling.

I couldn't agree more! My middle daughter is dead set that her 2 kids, 5 and 7, get their black belts, and it's not an option! They're about 18+ months in. I'll deal with the shooting aspect sooner than later.

Is there actually a law on the books in Texas that makes it a crime to leave after you shoot somebody?
Not sure about here in Michigan, car accidents with over a certain amount of damage or personal injuries you need to stay. Wonder about a

That’s a good story, hopefully the hero of the day will get the key to the city and not time in a cell. The thing that concerns me, the skell is dead and the police don’t know if the firearm used in the robberies is real or not? That’s very concerning that the authorities might be playing games.
