Not Ruger, but numbers 1 and 2

Hello all,
Here is my pair of MSAR STG 556 rifles. They are numbers 1 and 2! These are the first two rifles out of the factory!

I have had number 1 for several years, checked Gunbroker a couple weeks ago and found number 2. I picked it up from my FFL this afternoon.

I know they aren't Rugers but I think they are pretty cool. Probably pretty rare to find the first two guns from a factory, no matter what they are.

It's great that they are not identical twins. I like the bullpup (?) design but being a lefty it just wouldn't work for me.

These would work fine for you being a lefty. You can set them up to eject spent brass out either side. The only real problem with these things is the hard trigger pull. The gun I shoot regularly has a prototype trigger pack that has a 4.5 pound trigger pull. Factory trigger packs have a trigger pull of about 12 pounds. This makes a world of difference. I have shot these for years, I love them compared to any AR configuration.

Sorry, I guess I should not have assumed that your problem with bullpup rifles was the the direction from which the brass is ejected. After some thought I can see how a lefty might have different issues with these rifles.

Was looking at the photos and the serial numbers and other information almost looks silk screened on, you can see the nymbers on the rails are deeper and then filled with paint.

Are these engraved or stamped into the receiver and then they or you filled them with the white color, or are they actually screened onto the surface?

Just kind of curious, looked odd in the pics, but it just may be angle and lighting.

Real neat find! You should hang onto them!

They feel like they are lightly engraved then silk screened or painted. I have put my shooter gun through hell and never had any of the white colors rub off.

Thank you. I would love to get letters on these. I know MSAR is out of the gun business but I think they are still making knives. I wonder if I could get info from the knife people??
