My First No.1

Stopped by the LGS yesterday while I was out doing errands. The had this No.1 in 22 Hornet on the rack. I went back this morning and brought it along home. Hope it shoots as well as my 77/22 Hornet.

Thanks! I guess it's a Lipseys special run that they just did. I couldn't believe it was setting on the rack in this small local shop. I did see a while back they did a run of 77/22 Hornet African models, I never found one of those.

Like most other Ruger lines, now that you have one, you will quickly find the need to have another....

I wanted this No. 1 in 30-06

But couldn't ever find one, so I "settled" for this one:

A few months after getting the walnut and blue, the stainless and laminate showed up! Now I also have one in .223 and am looking for one in .308. They are like Lay's Potato Chips, you can't have just one!

I understand what you're saying. I am trying to downsize some. I did trade a couple in for it, so I guess I did downsize.

real nice Mannlicher stock, I've have a Ruger .270, and recently gave a .243 to a nephew. Great shooters. I'm guessing you'll enjoy it a lot . . . . .
