Not a Ruger but, need parts

I have an older Rossi 62SAC that I got for my son when he was 5. Had to cut the stock down so he could shoot it. Later I was going to order a new stock to return it to full length. Had a guy at work give me a reproduction stock for a 62 Winchester that worked but, did not fit 100% correct. By the time I got around to ordering a new one Taurus had bought them out and changed the 62 to incorporate a safety. So those stocks will not fit, and they did not continue to provide parts for pre-Taurus models. Have been watching auction sites for the last 4-5 years and have not found one. Have tried the usual used parts suppliers and have had no luck.

Anybody on here have an idea where I might find one?

You might call Al at the Gun Garage in Siloam Spgs, AR. He is a parts seller and has LOTS of parts and stocks.

He doesn't show a stock in his parts list but he might have some stuck away. If not, he'll either know for sure where you can buy one, or know for sure that there aint any.

Isn't the safety on the Taurus up on the top of the bolt? How's that change things?

I had a spare Taurus stock but sold it. I have a Rossi and two Taurus's that belong to my niece and nephew, one with safety and one with out. Never get them all side by side to compare things.
