I was just admiring a new Ruger GSR and can't help but notice how similar it is to the old Enfield No. 5 Mk 1 "jungle carbine".
Of course the GSR is much more modern in design and construction with its forward rail mount, but both are about the same length, ten shot magazines, peep sights, flash supressor and 308 and 303 British are similar in ballistics to. Even the butt stocks look similar. Can't wait to get a GSR so it can join my jungle carbine in the safe.
