No.1 trigger job

I would suspect that most people aren't really getting trigger jobs done. Typically, they install one of the aftermarket triggers available.

Just got my #1 back from Mark Penrod today. He did a trigger job on it that is as close to perfect as you can get. From the day I sent it it was back in 3 weeks !!!

That sounds really good. I have known that Mark Penrod does trigger jobs on the stock trigger, which is not typical. As I posted, most times one of the aftermarket triggers is the solution. I think that I would have him do some work for me someday. Is yours a two or three screw trigger? Do you know how heavy the trigger pull is after his work?

Mine is the newer 2 screw. Mark told me he could get it down to 1.5 lbs safely. I asked for 2.5.....I dont have a trigger pull gage, but I would bet he's right at it, and no creep or over travel I can detect.

I might want to have him try that on one of my two screw triggers based on your experiences. I have three Kepplinger triggers, but only one is installed, and not in one of the rifles I have been shooting, but I should be able to get another installed in one of my current shooters pretty soon.

I'm very satisfied. He times the safety,and Hammer retraction cam when he adjusts the trigger. Stays in touch with you as well.

That is a bit beyond my understanding of gunsmithing on the No. 1, so the fact that you are happy with his work is good enough with me.
