I spotted this on a local FB buy/sell/trade and could not pass it up. Looks like a brand new gun. It does appear to have been shot, but very, very little. Not a mark on it, with the box and all original paperwork. Box is marked 1/22/88. I paid a little too much for it, but it's a keeper.

SRH has the massive extended main frame surrounding the rear portion of the barrel, extending forward about as far as the underlug shown on the GP here.

Internally, however, the GP and the SRH have essentially the same operating pieces, while the basic Redhawk has that unique "single spring" mechanism.

This one is stainless (KGP160) Have been looking for one for a while and very seldom see them up for sale, especially in this condition. And BTW I also have a '96 model 6" blued full shroud GP and love it.

Nice gun, hope you enjoy it. I am always amazed how sometimes in a picture you can't tell if a gun is stainless or blue. Just a trick of the light I guess.

For a discontinued 6" half lug stainless ANIB w/box - I'd say $600 is ball park. Not a 'steal' but not over priced either. One might hunt around to save $50 but then one might not find another one in as good condition any time soon. I think you did just fine.
By the way, I have one and really like it. :D I think the half lug is just handier. (I have a small hand and put the fixed sight compact grip on it - Just right for me!)

I'll readily admit the 6" full-lug is somewhat less than "handy", but it's surely nice for target work, and I suppose for hunting it would have an advantage.

I have a 4" Security Six that is quite "handy" for all-round purposes, and easily carried.

And somebody once said, with respect to slight pricing differences, that in a year you won't miss the $50 and you'll still have the gun.
