I am not saying you are lying so please don't take this the wrong way I just thought that it was different. You said you ordered 10 years ago but I noticed it does not seam to have the SR logo just the R. Like the new stuff of today not sure if anyone else noticed or just my eyes playing tricks on me.
 
The logo is the first thing I look for because
I don't buy anything without the SR logo. That sure looks like a hard R to me.
 
I've been asked about the Logo before. I 'm not familiar with the Logo situation.
I noticed it had 1949 on that particular Logo. That's the year I graduated from High School in Houston. I never really wore it. Later gave it to my number 3 Grandson and he still has it. So whats the difference?

The logo on the right is the original SR logo designed by Alexander Sturm. The one on the left is called the hard R, no S. If anyone had ever mentioned changing the logo to Bill Ruger SR when he was alive he would have fired them on the spot. When the company decided to omit Alexander Sturm from the company they lost my loyalty.

So how many years has Ruger been selling caps with the new logo?
 
I don't remember what year they changed, it hasn't been too many years. I lost track because I stopped buying it.
