Well the first time I saw the RENE price guide I kept looking for the phone number.....

I thought it was a sale list.....I wanted to buy them all.....

I thought the prices were a deal....silly me....

There are so many on RENE that I would buy in a heartbeat at the listed price-- Prices on rare stuff is low

hell, I wish I could get RENE prices on ANY of the old models we sold over the years, guess thats why many of you bought them off my tables.. 8)

I never once tried to talk you down...your prices were always more than fair.

I remember in Cleveland at the IX center we would be lined up at the doors and then at 8AM they would open the gates and I would race down the first row to get to your table....ahh the good old days....I can't move that fast now....

yes, those WERE the days...heck I recall when you bought Lauras 22 autos she was getting out of collecting them, you not only bought them, she made you breakfast!!!
8)

The interesting thing about the collector prices you find in RENE.... The top collectors are the ones who fill those out.
I think prices have been moving upward a little bit since the great recession era... but there aren't as many collectors out there as there once were.
I think bidding fever hit this 'cat, but who knows. About ten years ago I remember 3 or 4 10/22's in .22 mag. selling for the $3K to 4K range.
It is all about who wants something bad enough at the time, right Rod?

Well that sounds good to me....and sometimes I wanted it real bad too...

I find the hunt to be the most fun.....

But since losing my Ruger hound MOE it just isn't the same for me....

And Dan's wife Laura make a mean omelette too......

I sure have had a lot of fun chasing beat up old RUGERS....RR

Hmm, another 3 digit up on gun broker --didnt like my $1200.00 bid, guess I will need to go higher.

I see this post and read and just shake my head. Living in Canada can be the pitts sometimes. I have a four digit and a five and both are prohibited status here. Both are early and in 98% condition in boxes with paperwork. I have them for sale right now at $300.00 dollars which is about $225.00 in US funds, and cannot get a taker. I am now wondering about selling the boxes, paperwork and grip panels here. If I could ship parts to the USA I would disassemble and just send the frames in for disposal. Crazy.

Know what you mean as we know others who still live up there ( family) and its a harsh reality,,,you can send me an email or call me and I;ll walk you through taking them apart, carefully and completely down to frame, and you can always keep the barreled frame as a "paper weight"???? or turn it in, which I would NOT do, heck to save the barrel you can even cut the frame apart, then you will have COMPLETE parts sets, in the box with the paperwork and should be able to move/sell or swap them...this is the trouble when you have something that NO-ONE else, in your situation, would put out the money and be "stuck" with one they cannot sell....heck,,,just keep them and use them ,cheap enough to shoot,,,better than NOTHING !!!
