Here's my list:

1. Buy a smart phone
2. Become a Vegan
3. Vote straight Democrat
4. Send all my weapons to the Shredder
5. Give up Kentucky Bourbon

I figure I can break everyone of them and not feel guilty about it.

Sounds like a list I could sign on to for next year.

I will sign on for these...

I made a New Years resolution years ago to not make any more New Years resolutions. So far I have been able to keep that resolution.

A few years ago Esquire wrote New Year's Resolutions should be simple to keep, like Don't cuss loudly in public, or don't spit on the sidewalk. Those were always my favorites.

2 years ago (1/1/14) for my resolution I started tracking on excel exactly how much I was spending on lunch everyday at work. Started with 6$ a day budget in 2014 then this year tried to make it 5$ a day and force myself to cut out buying a soda. We have a car at work that is subsidized and I can get a decent deli sandwich for 3$ Or a hot daily special for under 5$ But I cheat and sometimes on Fridays I go to one of the local shops and spend upwards of 10$

A long time ago I made a resolution to kiss my wife when I leave for work in the AM and tell her I love her. She is almost always asleep when I leave. Sometimes she mumbles back to me sometime she's out cold. Never missed a day even when I'm running late.

My wife has made one for me. Remember you are too old for ... I'm currently stove up with busted ribs from falling off of something I shouldn't (according to her) been climbing on.

I planned on promising to be less cynical, but I doubt that it will work.

LOL!

I don't believe I have EVER made a New Year's resolution unless I was drunk. (Those don't count) And at my ripe old age, I probably will continue the tradition of no resolutions! When I tend to decide something, it just happens. (e.g. - Sept 12th, 2012 I decided that smoking was bad... So I just quit... Hey, it just has to be my idea! ;) )

Let's see...I was given a smart phone for Christmas so number 1 is covered. Numbers 2-4 are totally out of the question, and as for number 5...as of the 19th of next month I haven't had a drink of any 'adult beverage' in 21 years so that one is also covered. My one resolution is to continue my yearly resolution to not MAKE any resolutions...other than that one.

Well let's see. I have never done one before so why start now? If the life you live is what you want then there is no need.

I kiss my wife everyday before work and tell her I love her.
I am honest and trustworthy.
I love God and pray every day.
I do everything to the best of my ability.
I try to be kind to every living thing, until they need to be eaten.

I am sure I missed something but ya know, if you try to be good then it all works out.

Happy New Year to y'all, I enjoy reading this forum and hope to have several more years of it, I guess that is my resolution, keep breathing.

Karl

I made a resolution 12/31/1985. I said I would not light up another cigarette until I needed one. Its the only one I ever kept.
