Why don't we all try the old saying in our posts: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all".....? OR, if we disagree vehemently, we'll do it with courtesy and a gentlemanly (or lady) commentary.
To me, the old saying is just a way to be respectful of each other.

You read my mind. I was going to start a thread pointing out how the site has changed so much over the past two years. It is becoming a LOT like Facebook. Case in point: Someone asks a question as to how to store a gun safe in their garage. Rather than help him, the replies are get rid of the wife, let me talk to her, build a room onto your house, etc... Exactly the kind of answers I see when someone asks an automotive or ATV question on FB. Either help someone, or stay out of it with those cute remarks. I expect those comments in the political, but when someone comes here and asks for help to a specific issue, I'd like to see people be nice to each other. And if they have no real-world experience with the issue, just scroll on by. Thanks for your thread. I feel better already.

I agree with you Guys.
Another one that really seems childish is the State bashing. Wither it's CA., NY. or at times even Texas which makes absolutely no sence to me. IMHO the good folks on this forum do not deserve that crap. I have been in most all of the States and they all have good and bad yes even Texas if you can believe that. They live in that location for a reason, family, job, or whatever, the reason makes no difference it is their HOME and I'm sure they are proud of it. Why don't you just call them a dumb ass for living where they do and be done with it????

Agreed Johnnu2. This forum has really changed. There has been a changing of the guard so to speak this last couple of years as some pretty well thought of and considerate members have passed. Let's try to be a bit more friendly and helpful, starting today.

Let's try harder to find common ground instead of arguing, labeling and calling folks derogatory names.

Good points everyone. Especially the state bashing hits home for me. People often talk poorly about my home state. I just bite my tounge.

Not so long ago we were closed to new members. It was kind of nice, but got boring too. So now that we have the benefit of new members. We need to hold ourselves to a higher standard and set an example.
