Hawkeye
I used to dispatch the caged squirrels with a .22 cal shot shell. Well, now that I can't get .22 shot shells anymore, I had to come up with something else. I used to shoot fast draw so I thought, why not .38 caliber wax bullets? I have .38 cal cases drilled out to accept 209 shot shell primers.
So I loaded my .357 Vaquero with those cases loaded with wax bullets and 209 primers. I caught myself a squirrel and went out and he went to a corner of the trap. I stuck the barrel through the top bars pointed right at his skull. I fired the gun and it hit him right on top of his skull. The wax bullet made a hole and entered his skull but did not come out. So as someone said in a western movie, "I killed the hell out of him".
It's quiet too, it just sounds like a POP. I like this better than the shot shells.
