The new models have 2 pins the old models have 3 screws for takedown. The new models have a transfer bar safety that makes them safe to carry 6 shots in the old model is supposed to carry only 5 with the hammer resting on a empty cylinder for safety the old models have4 audible clicks when cocking the hammer. To load or unload the old model you 1/2 cocked the hammer and opened the loading gate. On the new models you just open the loading gate that releases the cylinder to unload or load.
