No matter how many times I hear that song,, it moves me.

I was at a concert, with a lady friend long ago,, that featured The Oak Ridge Boys and Lee Greenwood.

Lee had sang some songs,, then he paused,, and asked for all Veterans to please stand. As the few of us who were Vets stood,,,, Lee told the crowd that "These are the people who you owe your Freedom to!" Then he dedicated a new song to us.
It was the very first time I heard;
"God Bless the USA."

Like others here, it doesn't matter if Lee's singing his own song, or someone's covering it, I can't hear this song without feeling a little chill going thru me.

Lee performed and sung that at the 1993 Boy Scout National Jamboree, at Ft A.P. Hill Virginia. It was awesome.
