new to me Orig model Vaquero

Just picked up this kinda hard to find Vaquero model 0515 - 40 S&W yesterday.

I do too!!! It's mostly what I have for Vaqueros.

Now what is so awful about the New Vaqeruos. I have two,one .45 Colt and the other .45 ACP and they will make a nice big hole just as well as the bigger framed version.
Of course if you want to loaded it to the moon that is a short point of the "New" version.

I had a chance at a somewhat well worn Vaquero in .357 but the shop wanted a bit much for it in it's condition.

That's a sweetheart! and a scarce gun, likely one of the special San Diego Sheriff's dept "over run" guns. A great caliber. 5 minutes with a reamer and it could shoot 10 mm as well. But who needs it...

What is your appeal for the 40? Cheap ammo?

I do prefer the New Vaq size. And in 357 it can still be loaded to the moon.

$480.00 plus tax. It was dirty and had lots of surface scratches but
cleaned and polished up really well, couple of hours and looks new again.

There's the 'Buckeye' Blackhawks 38-40/10mm convertible. A limited production model but I see plenty of them for sale.

Oh man,....you lucky dog you....every time I try to jump on one I'm always looking at double the price. I truly hope you enjoy that revolver.
