I used to have a 7.5" Super Blackhawk stainless and did not like the square triggerguard. Ended up trading it for another Ruger several years ago. I have been going to a local gunshop for a year now and have seen a 5.5 Super Blackhawk stainless in there for a year now. I finally broke down and it followed me home today. The wood on the grips is the best I have seen on a factory gun. Dark and the grain really shows. Hope to get a chance to check it out in the next couple of days. I had been getting away from single actions for a while and this one just called my name.

Wish that I had bought a Super Blackhawk instead of the Redhawk in .44 Maggie that I own. I used to own a Super BH, and it was a lot more comfortable to shoot than the Redhawk. I have to wear a glove to shoot the Redhawk or else it beats up my hand. the Super BH never did that. Guess that I'll have to load the ammo down quite a bit for the RH.
