New SRH Alaskan conversion

Hey, been a lurker for sometime but never posted before today. Just bought a new 44 Alaskan and sent it unfired to Hamilton Bowen for a Super Redhawk Alaskan GP conversion to .475 Linebaugh/.480 Ruger with 4" barrel. Not planned to be a hunting piece, just for backwoods and braggin rights. Kind of excited but won't see it for a year or so. Have several handguns in 44 mag and smaller, but have been drooling for a custom big bore. Wondering how many others have Bowen conversions and how you like them.

I see that I am mistaken about this being a first post. I looked at my profile and saw some prior posts from back when. Oh well, I am over 50 now so I will chalk it up to dementia, alzheimer's or to many home made ales. :wink: I looked for a 454 Alaskan and gave up, I guess their pretty rare these days and being produced in very small quantities, so this became my plan B.
