new sights loose

I got a new set of "williams fire sights" for my single six a few weeks ago from midwayusa.com. Over the weekend I took it to the range to get them sighted in. Every time I made an adjustment, the bullets would be all over the taget a couple rounds, then settle back to where I adjusted them to. After a few time of this happening, I put the gun away till I got home where I could check it out to see what's happening. Fast forward till today, I started to look things over trying to figure why I couldn't get it sighted in. I found that the rear sites were loose from side to side. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas on a fix, just jam something in the side to keep them from moving?

kinda hard to say without knowing exactly what part is moving. Have any pictures?

What model rear sight? Some have screws that put pressure on the adjustment mechanism so it will work and so that you can lock the windage slide in place.

I put the Fire Sights on my 22/45 and right away I noticed the same issue. There's about 1mm side to side slop between the blade and the body of the sight. On mine, it seems to gravitate toward the center, so my shots don't really seem to be affected. It does seem like a design flaw though. I wonder if they use the same blade for several different sight bodies. Don't really know what could be done about it. I'm more concerned with the fact that I can't see the front sight worth a darn unless it's in bright light.

shakyshoot is right on how theirs a little room on the sides. You can see the gap between the gun & the sights. I laid the factory sights over these to find out they also have a slight gap as well. Is this a common thing with loose sights when their adjustable?
