Its a Diana Airbug. CO2 in .22. Delivers about 450 FPS in .22 They also make a PCP version called a Bandit that delivers about 700 FPS in.22 but that lot of extra dough. I have the rifle called a Chaser and I like it pretty accurate. This is on Backorder for $ 119.00.
I’ve had an RWS/Diana 5G since the 80’s. If that is anything like it you will have fun. Vermin out to about 20 yards don’t fare well.
What does the round disc in front of the bolt lever do... it that for multiple pellets?

Yes it a magazine. .22 is 7 shots and .177 is 9 shots. It does not feed automatically though you still have to cycle the bolt.

Looks like a prettier update to my multiple-decades old Crossman 600. The barrel, being longer, should be even more accurate.

Congrats! Years ago I shot 10mm competition. I bought the Baikal 46m for around $500. Many articles on how this gun shot better than guns costing 4 times as much. It was not humanly possible to shoot more accurate than the gun. I later sold it after I got out of competition. Man, this thing had something like a 6 way adjustable trigger. On the first day, the factory sent it to me with the trigger wt all the way down. I mean a fraction of a ouce.
I went to shoot it and a light bump sent the pellet off into my heel. Learned a valuable lesson.
Have fun shooting. They require a lot of focus and Patience.

Here is my "Rat" gun. A Crosman 2260. I bought it for $15.00 from a Mother that did not want her son having it. I then bought a Steel Breech, a upgraded trigger and a Lothar Walther Barrel. The gun deadly accurate. I then bought a TKO Silencer and you cannot hear a thing. Placed a Bug Buster Scope on it which I can zero close into the Ivy where the hang out at night. The Crossman 2200's are probable the most gun I have ever seen that is modded. All kinds of really cool mods.

Nice gun, lots of work and patience. Don't know why but when I first saw the picture I thought of the show Wild Wild West.Thinking about getting a 2200 if 177 since I have the .22

Personally not my color scheme. They use to have a website with about 100 different mods. There are a number of websites that you can get just about any parr customized/Polished, new trigger parts, and on and on.
The point is, these guys really get into. Some really cool guns.
But to get a Great more simpler gun is to buy the 2300T silhouette that comes with a Lothar Walther Barrel, and a steel receiver, then buy a TKO shround and a carbine stock for around $45.00. I believe that is a Williams Peep sight it comes with.

After shooting my Ruger MarkIII in competition, I used a friend's Pardini and never looked back....I called Don Nygord and got two guns. Not only was the .22 the most accurate pistol I had ever shot, but the .32 relieved my older body of the .45 recoil and allowed me to stay on target The two guns felt nearly identical and my scores went up nearly 10 points in bullseye...These guns are retired and waiting for someone to buy them.

Being a air gun enthusiast, I find it amazing the amount of enjoyment they give. Rifle or pistol. Many do not know about "Replica Guns". Made to the same demensions, weight and realism of a Powder Burner. I enjoy shooting it for fun, but also just like holding it. Who doesn't appreciate the feel of a 1911?.
I brought this into my Local LGS (friends I have know for decades) and right away they thought it was a powder burner. Had no idea at first it was a BB GUN.

I don't have any really high priced air guns but I've had both CO2 pistols and the pump up air pistols and found the pump ups to be more powerful than the CO2 guns.
Just recently purchased Ruger's .22 caliber single pump air rifle. I bought the thing to control squirrels on my property. I was very disappointed with it. It has a big plastic (silencer) I think on the end of the barrel and the instructions say do not put you hand on the thing when cocking the rifle. So that leaves only about 10" of barrel you can hold on to when cocking it. The only way I can do it is to put the butt stock on the ground and push down on the barrel to cock it.
Then the worst part is it's weight. It's heavier than any other rifle that I own. Without using a shooting rest, I just can't hold those cross hairs steady on a target. As I said I do not like this gun and I'm sorry I bought it. Sorry Ruger, but you made the thing. Actually Umarex made the thing but Ruger's name is on it.

Well, Mister Know It All, The manual that came with the gun specifically says do not hold onto that thing using it to cock the rifle. No matter what you say, the weight of the thing is 8.11 lbs. As I said it's heavier than any of my regular sporting scoped rifles. I see that your rifle has a wood stock on it. The clunky composite stock on the Ruger is what makes it so heavy. How about weighing your rifle and letting me know it's weight?The heavy thing on the end is used for balance, vibration and yes you DO use it for cocking. The rifle you have is called a "Springer". My most favorite of air rifles are Springers. Extremely dedicated fan for many decades. The rifle has Ruger name on it and it is a kickoff of the Diana RWS model 34 which is a fantastic German made rifle. The Ruger is made in China. But that does not mean it is a bad Rifle. Ruger put their Specs and quality control on the gun and it should be a nice gun. Use the shroud, much easier cocking. By the way Umarx is a importer
Note: The proper way to cock the rifle is too take your hand and hit the shroud to release the barrel and then cock it.

OK, right from their manual. That thing on the front is called a SilencAir and the manual says do not grasp it when cocking the gun. If you don't believe that check out the picture of a tag that came with the rifle. The rifle operates with a gas piston that is compressed when one cocks the rifle. It is a Targis Hunter Max. By the way, the manual says for parts or service to call Umarex or go to www.umarexusa.com.

What exactly do you mean by "You should have figured out how to cock the rifle and you haven't yet"? I start by hitting the barrel to open the action as they say. After that, how many different ways are there to cock the thing?
I have 11 long guns and never had a weight problem with any one of them. I didn't expect to have a problem with this one.
I guess you are telling me to ignore Ruger's instructions on how to cock the gun. I'm just telling you what is printed in black and white and even shown in sign language on the yellow tag and according to you, I guess that makes me too stupid to use the product.
It's kind of strange that a .22 cal air rifle has to weigh more than my Remington 300 mag rifle with a scope. This thing even weighs 2.96 pounds more than my Ruger 10/22 with scope. It just doesn't make sense.

You still didn't answer my question about how I should cock the gun. By the way, I take back the "Mr. Know It All" thing. That was a bit smarmy. I will Quite my pathetic whining. I was only stating the fact that you said never mind Ruger's instructions on cocking the thing. So you seem to know more than Ruger about the gun. I'm not blaming you for anything about the gun. There was just no good reason for anyone to make the gun so heavy. The first and main reason that I don't like the gun is that it is so hard to cock going by Ruger's instructions.
I have a Gamo Bone Collector rifle and you can grab the barrel right at the end to have plenty of leverage to cock the rifle. Just not enough leverage to cock the Ruger going by their instruction.

Here is my 5G. I bought it in the mid 80's for practicing silhouette at home. Long before they made an airgun category. I set up my distances by score. When my animal count was similar to my BB and SB scores, I shot from there. Years later when they made an airgun category my distances were within a couple feet of the rules. Usually longer. Now it is relegated to verminator status.
Yesterday, to my own disappointment, but not shock, I missed a red squirrel twice with my air rifle at 45 feet. Admittedly I haven't put much time behind it, or any rifle really, so I grabbed the 5G. 65 feet, pop! red squirrel down. I am a handgunner and bowhunter, but not a rifleman.
