New Model Trigger? Power Custom?

What is the least expensive way of getting a much better trigger on the NM Blackhawk and Single Six? I see the Power Custom Kits and wonder if they are enough improvement? Looking for no creep and lighter pull as is everyone but not sure if sending it to a good smith is necessary when there are drop in parts.

I have a Power Custom hammer and trigger in my New Vaquero. I purchased it mainly for the half cock notch, but I ended up with a very nice, crisp trigger as well. It has absolutely no creep. They also offer fantastic support.

I couldn't agree more with Wheelgunner and BIgMuddy!

Yes the Power's parts may cost about the same as a trgger job depending on where you get it done but consider these bonuses:

1. You get a guaranteed superior result and consistent from gun to gun if you do other guns,
2. with the half cock feature (that you do or do not have to use when reloading) you eliminate the annoying problem of going past the point of chamber-to-loading gate alignment and having to turn the cylinder all the way around again,
3. they are drop in parts with excellent instructions,
4. you get the satisfaction of doing it yourself w/o having to get in line and wait weeks for a gunsmith's backlog of work, and
5. you can order the Super BH hammer if you want a wide spur (see below).

I highly recommend Power Custom parts either ordered direct or from Brownell's with a very fast turn-around; cal or order on-line.
