LOL …. He joined 5 months ago to Rosie O'Donnell about his Ruger, had an objection or no comment to every solution offered, got it off his chest and bailed out.
Yep, rants are ok with me. Most I don't read the whole post, but I did on this 1. I understand his frustration; I would have handled the problem far differently. I would have phoned the company and talked with someone of authority before believing a sales rep. Also checked with state gun laws about shipping if that was what I was told. Reading forums guns and others, it amazes me the lack of common sense to deal or fix problems with many people nowadays.Just my way of saying hi....And look, it got a response or two....I wonder how it all turned out for that guy ?? At this point it doesn't matter....one thing for sure is if someone has a question or needs help, heck even a rant....the Forum comes through, which is very good...

But it will require an Adult signatureI believe in Texas the manufacturer can ship a repaired firearm directly back to you. Glock repaired and returned a handgun back to me without ever going to a FFL.
If your relationship with Ruger is over, you might want to consider not joining Ruger enthusiast forums. Just saying.... You might get a better reaction griping on Smith and Wesson forums. But you do you!Unfortunately that is not what their reps said, no big deal I can fix it and know it will be right, the rant was only about how poor quality control has become, not looking for help or a solution.
Although at the time if the reps had not told me what they did I may have had them fix it, that was just the last straw...
My relationship with Ruger is over...
i think the lack of support they gave me with the Wrangler was they were inundated with people with bad pistols (wranglers) like my own and they were sinking and did not have the time or desire to spend on a $180 pistol , i had no delusions it was a target pistol when purchasing , but that pistol was a legit wild child , the worst i had seen , it was shooting 16 inches low more than high or on plane with POA , so i filed the blade to bring POA up , thats when i seen what was really going on , it was spraying , zero expectation of it landing anywhere close to POA , dinging steel left right , tree branches and leaves high and still occasional dirtI gots two words that fit here......They are "Lean manufacturing".....brought to you by the same nice folks that brought you WWII.

Sometimes people think this forum is associated with Ruger and posting a rant will help. Instead it's just fans wondering why the whiner doesn't do A or B instead of C.If your relationship with Ruger is over, you might want to consider not joining Ruger enthusiast forums. Just saying.... i am not entirely sold on that , i think its good to get the bad experiences out into the light as well as the positive , and do not kid yourself , albeit the forum may not officially be part of Ruger the company , i would wager there are quite of few people that work for them monitor this forum and the other Ruger forum ,and you may not even be aware of who , so the bad does get back to them and hopefully they listen and remedySometimes people think this forum is associated with Ruger and posting a rant will help. by this logic , you can go 30 years without a ticket ,then start racking up DUI's and still are considered a safe driverYou missed my point and the Rossi of five years ago is not the Rossi of 40 years ago nor the Rossi of today.
THIS X100There's a difference between "I came in here to complain about a problem, looking for some positive feedback" and "I came in here to complain about a problem, and complain about the possible solution, and complain about anything that may happen in the future, and complain about everything that happened in the past, and I really don't care what kind of suggestions you give me, you're obviously not understanding that I'm here to complain."
Good on you!Could also be a greed FFL wanting to get a few bucks without having to do too much work.
I was in a gun shop a while back when a guy came in and was asking about his father's guns. His father had passed away and his mother wanted to give him the guns. The guy behind the counter gave him a song and dance about having to register the guns in his name and how every gun would have to be brought in, a 4473 executed, PICS check, and a $20 fee per gun. The guy seemed dismayed by the cost and process.
