New Marlin trapper in 30-30

Oh no, I really like this. It would really go well with my 45-70 trapper. Now if they will make same rifle in 44mag.

Skinner sights. May appear unusual but a really good sight picture. These guns have threaded muzzle, so front sights have to sit back.

I like lever guns..I like blue steel and real wood...I can live with stainless steel and laminate.... but I am really liking the idea of a suppressed 30/30....

Very practical looking; I like it. But that reverse shark fin front sight?? Must be interesting when you try to slide it into a rifle case.

But when you're sliding it out of a scabbard, that's where the reversed shark fin works well.

The sight is actually very nice. Highly visible with white paint and rounded off with no sharp corners.

I would prefer it with a unthreaded barrel and standard sights.

Ruger does seem to be all in on their Marlins and that makes me really happy.
No comparison to when Remington bought them out.
My oldest Marlin 30-30 is Model 36, 77 years old, it's brother is a young buck, a 336 that's only 50 years old.

Skinner peep sights are good. I have them on my Henry Small Game Carbine. The feel of a 16" barrel lever action is perfect in my opinion. If I was in the market for a 30-30 I would have to look at one of these seriously.
