Well, I was looking for a 22/45 P512 and ended up with a MarkIII Hunter, 6 7/8. About twice the price, but what a gun. It is one nice looking gun. Hope it shoots as good as it looks. Need to get some nice weather to try it out. Have no pics yet to post. How do you folks that have this model like it? triker

I've had mine about a year and have really enjoyed it.....very accurate and reliable. Have probably fired about 1000 rounds of CCI Mini-Mags (CP,RN) and zero malfunctions.

The rear sight drifted left after a couple hundred rounds, but a little Blue Loctite took care of that.

I love mine(so do my kids) It has many 1k's of rounds through it. These guns are fun to shoot. If you invest in a couple of extra mags and an Ultimate Cliploader you'll find yourself running 1000+ round range sessions in no time. Enjoy!

I have the ultimate clip loader coming and plan to get a couple more mags ordered also. triker

Very nice gun ! I have the MKlll Competition model with a 6 7/8 barrel. Its very similar to the Hunter. With scope and Federal ammo will shoot 0 at 25, +1 at 50 and - 3 inches at 100 yards. Can usually keep rounds within a 4 inch circle at 100 yards. That is shooting off a bench. Hope you enjoy that new Ruger!

I just bought a 4" mkIII standard today I have a heavy bbled mkIII that has been absolutely reliable for many thousand rounds. Maybe the small barreled one will be as good.

I think you will love it. It is slightly lighter. Have fun with it Tommy.

I love mine!
