Just have to brag a bit! I found a new KLCR 357 at an LGS (70 miles) at a lower price than I have seen anywhere on line. I called them at 8:06 am and was out there at 9:40 with $$$ in hand. This was a trip on twisty KY back roads.

The little beastie is in my pocket now in an Uncle Mike's #3 which my wife let out a bit for easy draw. It was dark when I got home, did lots of shopping and my wife likes the library in this area so we spent the day out bummin' in perfect weather. Anyway I got to run a few through it, including some 357 and I must say that it is a serious little guy.

No pix, and I will be ashamed to send any range reports for about 6 months, but if any of you are thinking about one of these, just buy it. You will be glad.

I may be showing my ignorance but what is a KLCR? It sounds like a radio station.

That is what Ruger calls the LCR in 357 magnum. Their designation, not mine. It is the catalog number and it is on the box as well. LCR is 38 spec, KLCR is 357 magnum. You can see it for yourself on the Ruger website under LCR. It is model #5450

The "K" in the KLCR designation stands for stainless as it does in other Ruger Catalog numbers. The frame of the 357 LCR is blackened stainless, the frame on the 38SP LCR is aluminum, they both have stainless steel barrels.
