New Hunter 22/45 have a problem, need help

I purchased a new 22/45 pistol today. The problem is when I pull back the bolt, it takes two hands and a great deal of pressure on "bolt stop"button to release the bolt. Have others had this problem and if so how did you resolve it ? Thank you for any help or suggestions.

The slide release on my new MarkII 22/45 was stiff at first. It got better after breaking it in with a couple of bricks of cheap ammo. Any easier on a full magazine as opposed to an empty one?

I underscore Fox Mike's comment. Although the bolt release procedures for a 22/45 differ from those for my MK III, I just want to add my 2 cents. My own trouble started because I DID NOT read my instruction manual carefully and I ended up ruining my bolt stop. I knew better but I still ignored proper practice.
