New Grips

Put new grips on my Mark 1V today. Also removed the ambi safety. Looking forward to trying it tomorrow.

Why remove the ambi safety?

I'm left-handed so the "ambi" safety lever is essential for me but I'd like to be able to remove the left-side lever as my shooting hand tends to brush against it if I don't pay attention. Unfortunately, I don't have that option. For right handed shooters being able to remove the right side lever can be a good thing.

I have large hands and it was rubbing on the main knuckle of my right hand index finger.

My Hunter came with those grips. I personally found them just a little wide so I put the smaller, wooden-appearing grips on. There is no doubt that those are really great looking grips and for the right hand-size they are functional too. Good Luck!
