I just acquired a new GP100 and discovered the cylinder hole edges are extremely sharp which cause loading difficulties with a speed loader: rounds will hang up if not perfectly centered in the hole My other Rugers have more rounded and smoother holes.

I would like to know if my revolver is unique or if this is the norm for newer GP100's.

Thanks.

My newest GP100 is from 2008 and doesn't seem to have this issue.....but maybe something changed in the newest guns?

I practice with Speed Strips for all my revolvers, I rarely use speedloaders so maybe I haven't noticed it.

A good gunsmith like Pinnacle in PA can chamfer the chambers to correct this.
