Awhile back I contacted Mike Barranti of Barranti leather and asked him to build me a special shoulder holster for a short barreled single action. I found that when I ride my animals in the mountains the lead rope to the animal I am leading tends to hang up on a normal holster and sometimes unlatch the strap. Mike listened to my ideas and this is what he came up with. The gun in the holster was Bill Grover of Texas Longhorn Arms personal 44 magnum in the Border Special model. Bill used the gun to take a big 'gator when Texas first reopened their season for alligator hunting.
I tossed in a couple pictures of the gun itself. If you look closely you can see that while it looks like a full size birds head vaquero style gun, the loading gate is on the opposite side of a Ruger. Bill made his TLA guns this way.
