New Cobalt lite on Ruger website

Anyone see the new Cobalt lite on Ruger's website looks a lot different than the other Lites and is interesting looking to say the least. Here is the link to their website.

Does the recoil spring lug still ding the edge of the ejection port?

Mine did, and others have reported the same. I'd like to see them re-design the bevel on the ejection port so the edge isn't so fragile.

It looks like a mini Tec 9.I'll buy one for my 100+ Ruger 22 pistol collection.I wonder what color it will be?Cobalt is usually a blue color.That one looks silver.

Yeah, but my opinion of the way things have went in the gun industry is that people like "shiny" things if you know what I mean. And that one is "shiny" so will probably sell. (my daughter still doesn't know what I mean by "shiny" even though she likes to be really fashionable with all sorts of bells and whistles).

NO ONE says "bling" anymore! The new 22/45 is very light indeed. I imagine it being tough to get cleaned up without an ultrasonic bath. I don't need one. Not sure if I want one yet. Looks like an interesting gun I can take one home for under 250...?

I may be a little behind the times

Since the list price is $499.00, $250.00 is a great price..I would buy one for that...the way Ruger keeps changing the design of the Lite..it may end up being a limited production design....just a thought.

Why is everyone saying it would be hard to clean is it because of the holes? Are we thinking the holes are part of a muzzle brake system and that is the thought of why it would be hard to clean? I just thought the holes were for weight reduction and had no other function. Not sure why hard to clean unless it collects lent in the holes or dropped in the mud.

Well now, Ruger has surprised me once again. I really didn't think they could make anything uglier than the LCR and LCP. But here it is so ugly that it hit the ugly stick and broke it.

Funny I have seen some customized MK's that people oooh and ahhh over that I though were the silliest looking firearms I have ever seen. Yet when Ruger builds something outside the norm it gets bashed. I have seen purple pistols, pink pistols, even lilac ones. I figure to each their own. Shoot safely and have fun thats enough for me.

I believe they are talking about those holes, and the general grime/dust/ etc. that may accumulate in them.

The LITEs aren't for me, but having more choices is rarely a bad thing.

Other than dust, I don't them being a real dirt magnet. Blow out with air and I'd think be good. I like the idea but not the visual of them. Like 9x19 said though, more choices isn't a bad thing.

Mine did, and I believe all Ruger rimfire pistols come with two.
