Here's a new change for the New Bearcat.

When Ruger started putting the serial number on the Shopkeeper model in the original position, they also apparently moved the serial number from the bottom of the grip frame to the side of the frame for the regular production guns as well.
At what serial number did Ruger do this???
Now's the time to get this one figured out. As the months go by it will be tougher and tougher to get a changeover point.

Anybody??

So far I've noted 93-55757 with the sn on the butt and 93-59227 with sn on the frame.
Surely several of you can help narrow this down a little?

Ok...we're now down to the change happening between 93-56935 and 93-59066. Anybody got a 93-57xxx or 93-58xxx range gun?

Think I know where the change occurred.
On the front of the Ruger Bearcat Shopkeeper instruction manual is a gun that is serial numbered 93-57411. That's a prototype Shopkeeper since regular production of that model was given a 95- prefix.
So when Ruger moved the serial number to the side of the frame for the prototype shopkeeper, I'm betting they returned to that location (at that serial number) on their regular production blue and stainless guns as well.
