New 77 Coming Soon

Was driving home from work the other day and my phone rang and it was a gun dealer in Pennsylvania who seen that I was a backup bidder on one of their auctions for a Ruger 77 Carpenter Technologies Limited Edition. He had another one in stock and asked if I was interested. We stuck a deal and the gun should be shipped out sometime next week. Needless to say I'm pretty danged excited. This one is new in box, never shot but I plan on puttin' plenty of 52 grain hollow point boattails down the tube for sure.

Congratulations! I have one and love it. I tried several combinations of powder and bullets in mine. I found RL7 combined with a 40gr Nosler ballistic tip would yield about .5 MOA in my 222 Carpenter gun. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Well I got the rifle yesterday and now I need to decide what scope I want to mount on it. Not sure if I want to go with the silver finished scopes or stay with the standard matte or gloss black or what power I'd like. Anybody out there have any suggestions??
