From my personal experience with Hi Point I would take an RIA 38 special or any Taurus over any Hi Point. I suppose some people might get lucky here or there.
Does the LCP make you cry???the enormous weight is your friend in 10MM.
I'm seriously looking at this!!! Add light/laser and optic will be an absolute beast.I too bought a Rock Island 1911.
Only got one mag with it.
Has anyone had any luck with aftermarket mags?
I've never shot a LCP but I have shot a P3AT. It was a nasty little bugger. Not saying it woudn't work for a last ditch option but not something I'd want.Does the LCP make you cry???
You might want to stick to pepper spray.I've never shot a LCP but I have shot a P3AT. It was a nasty little bugger. Not saying it woudn't work for a last ditch option but not something I'd want.
I've been carrying the Max-9. It has worked okay so far. I don't like guns with tiny grips. I think I'm about to try to sell a Kahr CM-9 on account of that. The pistol is fine. It just gives me a hard time because there isn't enough there to hold on to. If the Max-9 doesn't work out I can always go back the the M&P 2.0 Compact 40 or maybe start carrying the Dagger. Maybe one day PSA will actually release the Dagger Micro (G43X clone). For now it is still vaporware although they are selling slides & magazines. Maybe I should get a slide & some mags & see if I can find a frame somewhere. It would probably take me a while. You might want to stick to pepper spray.
I have five mags. I easily found four on the net. They are stull available.I too bought a Rock Island 1911.

Yes, absolutely.I have a RIA 10mm 1911. Deadly accurate and always dependable.
Take it apart and polish the feed ramp. I did mine and it improved a lot.Since I can't get more than 3rnds without a jam I have elevated my Hi Point to it's utmost potential!!! You shoot till it jams and Yeet it at the bad guy!!!
Mine gets nose up jams which makes me think mag but I've tried a few. It's a non issue really. It has achieved it's maximum potential.Take it apart and polish the feed ramp. I did mine and it improved a lot.
I should have clarified I meant did they function OK?I have five mags. I easily found four on the net. They are stull available.
Just got back from the range and the gun seemed to work OK. I found you have to hold that heavy beast very tight so not have a "limp wrist". It is a beast to shoot, it hurts the palm of my hand after 5-6 shots. It's hard to hold up and get the sights aligned with the target.
no. It bucks and gets off target easier than the 45 ACP highpoint heavy pistol. Recoil is about staying on target, not crying. If crying is an issue maybe shooting guns is not your best hobby.Does the LCP make you cry???
$.39 cents per round, sometimes can be found a little lower. Hollow point is twice that. Just picked up a box for $29, i'll have to keep looking for some cheaper.Just wondering, what was the price range/availability for 10mm ammo like in your area?

Sorry to hear. Mine is accurate and reliable. Sometimes I use it as a carry gun.Had a Rock Island 1911 double stack 10mm, worse gun I've ever owned and absolutely crappy customer service. Took a loss selling it and bought a Ruger 9mm, best trade ever. Will never buy another Rock Island.
Glock 20SF, Glock 40 Gen 5, Ruger SR1911, and Springfield XDM 10mm's have run nearly flawlessly for me.
